Weekend Flyer: Hayes Carll, VoiceJam, Startup Crawl, and More

There’s still a lot going on in Fayetteville this weekend. Better put on your evening pants.
Bands will play in the downtown street as part of the Startup Exploration we mentioned earlier this week. The event will feature several local businesses offering open houses with a local craft beer at each stop, as well as musical performances by The 1 oz. Jig, JukeBoxx, Thrifty Biscuits and Akeem Kemp. George’s has a happy hour with what must be one of the oldest party bands in Arkansas and possibly the world, Ultra Suede. Later, local rocker Randall Shreve will play the late night show. On Saturday, songwriter Hayes Carll will be back in town for a performance on the big stage. Here is the ticket information for all of George’s shows this weekend.
How about some outdoor music at Mount Sequoyah Center? The first one music in the mountains show of the year is set at 6:30 p.m. on Friday nights with artist Cliff Avenue. You can bring your own wine or have a picnic up there if you want too. Here is more information.
The music returns to the yard at kingfish this weekend, with Old Man Saxon, BAANG and Jasper Logan on Friday night.
Smoke and barrel also has music this weekend, with an Atlanta-based synth-pop band POINTS, Fayetteville fuzzy rockers, the Gardensnakes and instrumental synth band RINGS Friday night.
At the theater, it’s the last weekend to catch TheatreSquared’s hilarious show Tiger style!and the Smokehouse Players will present their new show, love lettersat the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse this weekend, and the UA Theater has a new show, Ride the Cyclone This weekend.
How about a comedy night? On Friday night, Boston Mountain Brewing will host one with comedians Dan Alten, Jeremy Hellwig and Benji Nate.
