Twisted Sister rejects ‘lucrative offers’ to reunite

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider said his band had no interest in reuniting, despite “lucrative offers” to do so.

The singer made his statement during a Q&A with fans on Twitter.

Asked about the potential release of new music, the Twisted Sister singer was blunt. “Never say never, but I can’t see myself recording anymore,” Snider said, noting that he was more focused on other projects, such as “movies, books, TV, radio, etc.”

When a fan challenged Snider’s claim — and likened it to bands that hold farewell tours, only to reunite later — the singer doubled down on his statement.

“In fact, it’s those endless goodbye rounds, fake goodbyes, and ‘we changed our minds’ after the goodbye that keep me honest,” Snider Explain. “I hate all this fake farewell bullshit. Bands should stay forever if they want…but don’t sell us a BS farewell tour!”

“Twisted Sister retired in 2016,” Snider continued, “and although we spoke to each other regularly, neither of us even mentioned reuniting. And trust me, we’re getting lucrative offers.

Snider’s new remarks follow similar statements that he’s largely done with music. In May, the rocker told fans he was probably done with touring and performing, and was turning his attention to new projects instead. To that end, Snider recently announced an upcoming graphic novel with Z2 Comics titled He won’t take it. The story will chronicle Snider’s lifelong defense of free speech, including his role in the Parents Music Resource Center Senate hearing in 1985.
