“The Matrix Resurrections – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” is a limited pressing and features music by Johnny Klimek and Tom Tykwer. In a statement on the release, Tom Tykwer said:

“There is a powerful and distinct musical heritage here. In my opinion, The Matrix Trilogy is one of the best scores of all time. And what is particularly fantastic is that it was also, to my knowledge, one of the first film scores that implemented electronic music in this way and linked it to the progressive orchestral music of late modernity. This started a movement, to which we pay homage with this music. And yet, this film is playful and emotional with a complex development, open in every way. Johnny and I thought our challenge for the music was to pay homage to The matrix lineage and also support this film business of expanding this legacy to explore new directions. It has to be represented in the music and that’s what we try to study musically.”

And from Johnny Klimek:

“We spent several months working on equipment for The Matrix Resurrections, building the main themes, working out alternative arrangements and electronic variants. We had a lot of fun mixing electronics with the classical orchestra. Technology has come so far since I started composing films.”

The soundtrack includes all 24 tracks from the film, “mastered for vinyl and pressed on 2 colored 180-gram ‘Digital Rain’ vinyls (limited to 3,000 copies) or 2 black 180-gram vinyls with original artwork by the creative director of Mondo, Mo Shafeek.” It will cost you $35.
