Spotlight Artists Management is set to present a benefit concert in support of Ukraine on March 21, 2022.

The showcase, which will take place in St. John’s in the Village, will feature performances by pianist Alexander Chaplinskiy; sopranos Zoya Gramagin and Sara Pearson; mezzo-sopranos Eugenia Forteza, Ema Mitrović and Galina Ivannikova; bass-baritone Jonathan R. Green; and the instrumental duo of Yulia Basis and Andy Didorenko, among others.

“We are happy that even more artists agree to take part in our initiative. Culture and education – these two areas can save humanity and make people understand each other. We will present music from a range of composers, including Ukrainians and Russians. The recent occasional tendency to ban Russian music here and there is dangerously xenophobic. We stand with Ukrainians and those brave Russians who dare to speak out against the invasion and protest on the streets or in the media,” Natalie Burutskaya, producer and artistic director of the company, said in an official press release. .

“With this concert, we want to thank our donors. The money we collect will go directly to war victims who lost their homes in Kyiv and Kharkiv where I was supposed to sing Tosca, but it won’t happen because of the war,” Gramagin added.

The show will feature music from several opera arias as well as the Ukrainian national anthem and Mussorgsky’s “The Great Gate of Kiev”.
