Nina Diaz of Girl in a Coma will be the focus of âSpanish Model,â a new take on Elvis Costello and the 1978 Attractions release âThis Year’s Modelâ starring Latin pop and rock stars.
Diaz sings “No Action”, the opening track.
The new album will feature Spanish recordings of the songs, over the original recordings of the Attractions instrumental tracks remixed by producer Sebastian Krys. The release is the brainchild of Costello and Krys.

New recordings include Fito Páez singing “Radio Radio”, Juanes doing “Pump It Up”, Morat singing “Lipstick Vogue” and Luis Fonsi singing “Tu Eres Para Mi (You Belong to Me)”.

âSpanish Modelâ will be released on September 10 via UMe. A new remastered edition of “This Year’s Model” will be released simultaneously on CD and vinyl. A limited double LP of both albums will be released on elviscostello.com, udiscovermusic.com and thesoundofvinyl.us.
