New smoke pop music hidden in posters around cities – Watch
The launch of Pop Smoke’s posthumous second album is in full swing.
On July 10, posters started going up in New York and Los Angeles in support of the album, Faith, which is slated for release on July 16. But these are not your average promotional posters. According to reports, the ads contain hidden song clips that can be accessed through SnapChat.
With the app open, all you have to do is focus your phone on the image and a video clip of a new song by the late rapper starts playing. The clip shows black and white video footage of Pop on stage and in the studio rapping on an unreleased track. Some of the posters were spotted specifically in Pop’s hometown of Brooklyn, NY.
Pop Smoke’s new album comes a year after the release of their debut album, Shoot for the stars Aim for the moon, which fell four months after being shot and killed in Los Angeles in an apparent home invasion on February 19, 2020. The album became the first posthumous hip-hop debut album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts The success of the album had endurance. Shoot for the stars Aim for the moon was also the biggest album of 2021 to date. Last month he was certified double platinum by the RIAA.
Not much is known about the new album other than its 17 song length. Only the album “Outro” has been released at this point. The last song we received from the beloved Brooklyn rapper was “AP” in February, which appeared on the film’s soundtrack. Boogie, who also plays the late Pop Smoke in his acting debut.
