Local hip-hop music artist set to release new single on Youth Day

Local hip-hop music artist and songwriter Esther Khoza, also known as “Ms EJN”, is set to release her new single titled Bleeding on June 16.

Hailing from the narrow, dusty streets of Diepsloot, Khoza released his first Extended Play (EP) which received a positive response from music lovers in 2018.

Her EP featured hit tracks like Always on my mind and Fly with me which were played by different community and national radio stations.

Khoza shared, “Inspired by Michael Jackson, Madonna, Britney Spears and others, I developed a love for music and decided to pursue a career in music. I started making music at the age of seven and wrote my first song entitled Celle que j’aime at the age of 14.

In 2011, she won a rap-battle competition organized by Diepsloot Lito’s Pub and was nominated twice for the Diepsloot Community Annual Awards in the category of the most influential person.

“The song is inspired by relationships that didn’t work out after we gave it our all to make it work. It’s also inspired by my personal experience and people around me who have shared their relationship experiences with me. personal.

She said the new song will be available on all digital music platforms from June 16.
