Author: Alicia Parker
Released via The Walking Dead on June 3, Levi Zadoff and Dead Hendrix give the best performance in their latest project, “Dead Summer.”
Los Angeles pop-punk musician Levi Zadoff teamed up with Ottawa punk newcomer dead hendrix to release a brand new project, ‘been dead‘ on major streaming platforms. The incredible concept EP is the product of the boundless creativity and imagination of the two artists. There are five exceptionally emotional and raw melodic creations in the EP that not only showcase the artists’ brilliant vocal ability, but also their unrivaled storytelling ability. It features the symbolic death of Summer and the loss of family and friends due to the global pandemic. Lasting 15 minutes, each song generates real emotions that hold listeners’ attention throughout.
Both artists have had a fair share of experiences during the pandemic, and they’ve used them as creative fuel to develop one of the standout projects this summer. “Dead Summer” is the first EP of dead hendrix and the long-awaited return of Levi Zadoff after his 2018 SoundCloud hit and two other Spotify projects. Expressing their thoughts and emotions in the songs through their eloquent lyrical artwork, they describe the EP as one of their most creative and experimental projects to date.
