FELIVAND unveils new single ‘Where Were You’ and announces signing with Sweat It Out
Brisbane-based artist FELIVAND is back with his first single in a year, “Where Were You”.
The song, co-produced with Chris Mazeura, marks the first track FELIVAND – real name Felicity Vanderveen – has released since signing on to the new Sweat It Out label.
Accompanied by âWhere Were Youâ is a new music video directed by Jennifer Embelton, who explained that the visual âexplores these themes of isolation through visual storytellingâ.
“We see [FELIVAND] in everyday scenes that approach the realm of the surrealist. Her surroundings and people don’t seem to realize she is there, but FELIVAND is still determined to tell her story.

âI wrote ‘Where were you’ after realizing someone wasn’t there for me in a way that I thought they would be,â Vanderveen said in a press release.
“I felt abandoned and forgotten and this song is a pretty raw and passionate outlet for that feeling.”
Regarding the new signing, Vanderveen explained, âIt is such a great feeling to have a team of people who actively defend you and who have complete confidence in your creative decisions..
âI am extremely happy to start this new chapter in my career with such a passionate team supporting me. “
While it’s unclear at this time whether “Where Were You” will appear on more works, this is FELIVAND’s first new song since the release of their second EP “Nerve” in October. from last year.
