Dalmatian “The Masked Singer” is “one of hip-hop’s biggest stars”
The masked singer Season 6 has already been a whirlwind after just a week, with the unmasks of Dwight “The Octopus” Howard, Vivica “Mother Nature” Fox and, more shockingly, seven-time winner Toni “The Puffer Fish” Braxton. a Grammy. And it was only group A! As the mysterious B-group celebrity cosplayers took to the stage this week, there was yet another huge surprise in store, when the Dalmatian changed places and turned out to be nothing more than what the host Nick Cannon has rightly said “one of the biggest stars in fashion.” -to jump.”
The judges thought that this spotty singer, who elegantly performed “Beautiful” by Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dogg, could it be Nelly, Kevin Hart, Damian Lillard, Katt Williams, Reggie Bush or even Steve Harvey. Judge Nicole Scherzinger guessed that it was “one of the Lil’s”, that is, a prominent rapper like Yachty, Uzi Vert or Boosie. Well, it turned out to be Tyga, but his inspiration to be on the show was the biggest of all, Lil Wayne, who was the robot in season 2.
“Hip-hop represents on The Masked Monkeyr in a big way! “Nick said, before he and his pal Tyga gently berated Judge Robin Thicke, who collaborated with Tyga on” This Is Like “in 2012, for misreading the Dalmatian. But Robin was really happy to see Tyga, stating, âWe’re really lucky to have you on the show. Every time we have the hottest young cats in the game on our show, it makes us all look a little bit cooler. “
Four other competitors from Group B have survived to sing again, and next week they will face off with two new wild cards. Until then, let’s continue the guessing game and assess the performance and indices for this Wednesday:
The Queen of Hearts, “Born This Way”
Rock one of my favorite Masked singer All-time costumes (essentially resembling a heart adorned with high-end Commes Des Garçons jewelry), this queen ruled the stage with her majestic allure and mannequin leg. Her voice sounded thin at first, but then she released some “Born This Way” power notes that made it feel like she was born to do it. Nicole got ‘goose bumps’ and Robin suspected that the Queen had only just started showing all of her vocal abilities.
The clues: She had a strong Southern accent when she spoke, which made the judges think she might be a country music star – but I bet it was just to throw the sign off. She mentioned leaving home at a young age and never looking back after a difficult childhood, and her visual cues included the Iron Man from The Wizard of Oz, a framed photo of Hilary Swank with the caption “BFF”, and of course, her amazingly toned legs.
The judges’ assumptions: Britney Spears, Kellie Pickler, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Fergie, Renee Zellweger.
My guess: I’m going with actress Mariska Hartigay, who is well known to be Hilary’s longtime best friend and who is the founder of Joyful Heart Foundation. Her Law and Order: SVU co-star, Christopher Meloni, was also in ounce. And finally, she also has a secret dream of performing on Broadway – maybe that’s why she infiltrated to perform in this show.
The Mallard, “Save a horse (ride a cowboy)”
This dapper duck hit the scene looking like a feathered Monopoly Man, but his Big & Rich blanket had more of an everyone’s style. (He later admitted that he usually didn’t dress as well.) The judges seemed convinced he was a âbig country star, iconic legend,â but – while his voice sounded genuinely nasal – he gave me the atmosphere of an actor.
The clues: He is living the “high life”, with a platinum album and a bestselling book to his credit. He started hustling at a young age, selling worms as one of his first jobs, then performing for quarters as a “human jukebox” on his school bus. He also jokingly hinted that he didn’t have a very good-looking face (and therefore was grateful to be in disguise). Visual clues included a framed photo of Chris Pratt, a deer figurine, and a cowboy boot.
The judges’ assumptions: Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Lyle Lovett, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Sam Hunt, Dierks Bentley or Billy Ray Cyrus – pretty much any country singer they could think of before Nick Cannon told them their time was up.
My guess: This guy is country, but he ain’t no country music Star. I think it is Duck Dynasty personality Willie Robertson. He is buddy with Chris Pratt, has written several books and his family’s vacation album Duck the Halls: A Christmas with the Robertson Family sort of turned platinum. What better way to expand your dynasty than to dress like a duck and win The masked singer, law?
The Cupcake, “Heat wave”
This cuddly kawaii confection looked like a Motown veteran, clearly super comfy with the Martha & the Vandellas classic. âThe energy that you gave, you improvised and you made it your own. You didn’t just stick to the script. It was a very confident performance,â Robin observed. âI get vibrations. legendary! âNicole raved. It was not clear if it was male or female; Cupcake’s gaze was girly, but the deep, husky voice was more androgynous. It is possible that the frilly costume was a deliberate choice to fool viewers and judges.
The clues: She (or he?) Is “used to sharing the limelight” and hasn’t gone solo for a long time; she was “supposed to be here with other sweet things,” but then a relative got bad news for her health. Visual cues included a bottle of whiskey, heart-shaped pancakes, and the competitor’s noticeably older and slower gait.
The judges’ assumptions: Whoopi Goldberg, Tracy Chapman, RuPaul, Jennifer Holliday, Roberta Flack, Leslie Jones, Tina Turner.
My guess: I think this is one of the main Pointer Sisters, Ruth or Anita – whose sister Bonnie recently died of cardiac arrest (hence the bad health news) and whose other sister June died in 2006. The Pointer Sisters were also discovered in Whiskey. -a-Go-Go.
The Banana Split, “A Million Dreams”
This rare Masked singer duo, consisting of a male banana playing the piano and a female ice cream scoop singing soprano from âBeverly Hills,â made a beautiful, Broadway-worthy version of Pink’s mighty ballad. (The Banana Man didn’t sing, so we know it’s not Bret “The Banana” Michaels from Season 3.) “That’s what we all need now. It was perfect,” said Judge Ken Jeong of this passionate and uplifting tour de force.
The clues: They are collaborators who do not always work together, but they share a dream. (âThe banana is fine on its own,â the man muttered humorously.) Ice cream once quit her day job when she thought she had her great luck, only to have it all fall apart. A key visual clue was a silver medal.
The judges’ assumptions: Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony, Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin, Katharine McPhee & David Foster, Faith Hill & McGraw, Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling.
My guess: Singer / actress McPhee and her producer / songwriter husband Foster is a good guess. This silver medal could represent Katharine’s second place on American Idol, and the missed opportunity story could refer to the time when she was cast for an MTV soap opera pilot that never aired. In addition, the theatrical voice resembles the Waitress (and Smash!) Star. As for the banana, his smug “good by itself” comment was totally something David would say, and the fact that he played the piano (like David did in many home performance videos with Kat), but didn’t sing himself, indicates that he is more of the kind behind the scenes.
