CSF “Back To Prom” Gala and Auction on October 23, 2021 for Coronado Public Schools | News from Coronado Island

This prom might be for adults, but it sure still is for kids⦠and chances are, this prom will be a night to remember! This year’s Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF) annual fundraising auction, presented by Donna Salof, invites adults to go ‘Back to Prom’ to raise funds for children, with profits going to schools of Coronado through the CSF.
This year’s extravagance, co-chaired by Salof and Alexis Reitmeyer, will be a glamorous evening full of dinners, drinks and dancing on Saturday, October 23 at 5 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel del Coronado. Guests are encouraged to embrace the theme and don their best prom!
âDonna Salof returns with generous support to the annual CSF gala, marking her fifth year as title sponsor and chair of the event,â said Michelle Gilmore, CEO and President. âShe attended the launch of Pathways in K-12 grades in engineering, robotics, instrumental and choral music, all thanks to her support to schools and students in Coronado. We love this theme and can’t wait to have our prom!
This year, Salof is joined by Reitmeyer, a local business owner and community supporter, owner of the Coronado Bliss Salon and Spa. The CSF is delighted to have the support of these two exceptional women this year. This dynamic duo has a wealth of talent and great ideas to make this year’s Back to Prom event as memorable as the high school version for everyone who attends!
âA well-balanced, quality education is the foundation of our future. The CSF is a stepping stone in our community to build this foundation – providing excellent opportunities for support and participation, âsaid Reitmeyer. âAs a Coronado resident and owner of a local business for 11 years, I appreciate the value of community support. I am delighted to co-chair this spectacular event and I am honored to support the Donna and Coronado Schools Foundation. “
The ball begins with a VIP pre-party on the Vista Walk as guests enjoy a platter of appetizers, free libations, and live entertainment. Once inside the ballroom, relive the excitement of the ballroom (albeit on a much larger scale) with chef-prepared food, retro decorations, and games. The evening will feature a full dance floor, with some guests showcasing their best moves in a dance competition, with judges. The winning dance pair will be crowned live on the evening of!
